Meet Our Team
Ben Harrison

A Kansas native, Ben has been around construction all his life. Having a father in the industry for over 40 years, Ben grew up taking on projects in concrete, carpentry, and iron work. Ben moved to Colorado and managed projects from a log home renovation to a custom pool for a AAA 4 Diamond Resort. This led Ben to dream about serving clients in the local community and teaming up with his best friend in the process.
Ben handles all the marketing and human resources. With Ben, a project is more than a job. He loves getting to know his clients and helping to turn their dreams into reality. Some days you’ll spot Ben framing or driving equipment.
In his spare time, you can find Ben cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, hanging out with his wife, and exploring the Rocky Mountains.
Spencer Allen

Spencer grew up in Northwest Indiana and moved to Colorado over ten years ago, where he discovered his passion for project management. After several years of managing jobs around the state of Colorado, Spencer realized he wanted to start a company serving clients in and around Colorado Springs.
Spencer is the numbers guy and handles all the bookkeeping. Every day looks different for Spencer. One day he may be in the office job costing ongoing projects and the next he may be in the field with his tool bags on framing a house. The variety of the day is one of the things Spencer loves about what he does.
When he’s not working, Spencer enjoys hunting, watching football, and hanging out with his wife and daughter.
Jeff Looney

Jeff joined Matukat with a background in commercial construction and project & property management. He handles scheduling and coordinating with subs, quality control of our builds. Some days you may find him framing or operating equipment.
Hailing from South Carolina, Jeff received his degree in construction management from Colorado State University. He worked in commercial construction as a project manager for US Engineering, building new middle/high schools for the Poudre School District and completing hospital renovations for UC Health.
When he’s not working, Jeff enjoys hanging out with his wife and daughter, bowhunting, and cheering for Manchester United with his friends over a good beer.
Ryan Jonas

Ryan joined Matukat in its early stages and has grown along side it working in a myriad of roles. As a Field Supervisor, Ryan spends his time in the field making sure subs are on track and that quality is being upheld at each of our sites. You will also find him doing hands on work in the finishing stages, ensuring the clients dream home is exactly how they imagined.
Ryan is a Colorado Native and received his degree in Biochemistry from Colorado State University.
When he’s not working, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, fly fishing in Colorado and Wyoming, golfing, and watching movies.

Nicole brings years of design experience to Matukat. She has a knack for creating and designing spaces that bring your vision to life! Nicole specializes in custom homes, full remodels, and minor room details and is a firm believer that no matter your budget, you can have the look and feel you desire without compromising.

Matukat isn’t just a hard word to pronounce—it’s a name that holds much meaning to its founders. “Matukat” was the road that brought Ben and Spencer to work on a ranch in the middle of nowhere. Down this 9 mile dirt road, they formed relationships and skills that prompted the foundation of this company. Not only did this road bring them together, but it also has led to deep connection and passion for the work and dedication to building a company that will bring people comfort in their homes. Matukat was chosen for the company name as a reminder of good times, good conversations, and friendship.
